The magical Greek Island of Mykonos

We spent 5 days here and had such a memorable stay.

We arrived by boat and were shuttled to the beautiful Palladium Boutique Hotel. This stunning, luxe, Greek hotel was breathtaking from the minute you arrived. Family run and located in Platis Yialos they are known for excellent service and immaculate accommodations. As soon as we checked into our junior suite we made sure to explore the grounds and hit the pool. With kind individuals making sure to meet your every need you never went without a drink in hand, a snack nearby, or even an eyeliner on a night out. Pampering at Palladium is an understatement.

Once it was time to step outside the hotel there are a few beautiful beaches just a 5-minute walk away. One of my favorite places to eat lunch and then do some high-end shopping was in Nammos Village. This village of luxury shops and a delicious restaurant is located on Psarou Beach. Showcasing contemporary art at every turn this little village is a must-see in Mykonos. After we stopped for a delicious Greek salad and a visit to the Gucci store for new shoes we were off to get ready for our first delicious Mykonos dinner.

Buddha Bar beach restaurant… you outdid yourself. Food, cocktails, and ambiance. What an amazing experience. Being right on the ocean all you could hear was the crashing of the waves mixed with lively music. Mykonos being a party island they have mastered the art of making people dance on the beach but the Buddha Bar consistently maintained a classy/exciting vibe. We started with fancy cocktails and asked the waiter to pick all his favorite dishes. Dumplings, noodles, curry, sushi, more cocktails. We thought that we would have to be carried home. The outstanding flavors in every dish surprisingly perfectly balanced together to create an exceptional experience. I mean, who wouldn’t love sipping cocktails right on the Aegean Sea? A romantic evening that ended off with a barefoot walk down the white sandy beach, this restaurant is a hot spot for good vibes.

The following day we decided to explore the town of Mykonos and my friends… it was like walking through a postcard. We first explored the windmills and crashing waves down the small cobblestone alleys. Then we proceeded to do a little shopping and have the most delicious pasta for lunch. We found the cutest boutique on the cobblestone paths called Inasami. It was a very windy day but so so hot! We decided to relax by the beach at a delicious little restaurant for dinner sitting in the sand we enjoyed some veggies and fresh seafood for a delicious late supper.

The next day we snuggled up in the morning and took our time making our way to breakfast. We sat in the sun and enjoyed the most delicious omelets made by the staff at Palladium. Lying by the pool and a quick workout at the gym this day was meant for sunbathing and relaxation. While relaxing near the pool the staff at Palladium Prepared us the most delicious lunch consisting of sandwiches and smoothies we were in our glee.

All the relaxation was important to get us ready for a night out on the town. Mykonos is known for a few amazing things; its white beaches, delicious food, beautiful windmills, and exciting nightlife. We got all dressed up, got in a cab, and made our way to Scorpios Restaurant. Talk about good vibes, fun music, and great food. Scorpios is a must-visit in Mykonos… I feel like this is where the saying Boho chic was invented. If you want to dance the night away with a group of chill people the DJs will have you on your feet. Scorpios has built a community of lovely people, good vibes, and is the perfect place to dance the night away.

Our last day in beautiful Mykonos. We were greeted in the morning by the lovely staff at our boutique hotel. With not much planned we decided to rent an ATV And explore the island. This has to be the easiest way to get around Mykonos and I would highly recommend if you know how to drive! Today we took the opportunity to explore all the amazing beaches that Mykonos has to offer.

Before we left to travel Greece our friends told us that Mykonos was a place to come for late-night partying and amazing beaches and boy were they right! We had the most amazing time and we were ready to take on six days of drinking wine and relaxing in Santorini (post to come).

If you have traveled to Mykonos before and would like to leave some additional recommendations in the comment section we would greatly appreciate it ☺️
